Family pictures

We recently had family pictures done at a beautiful farm. There were horses, cornfields, tractors, a pond, and an old stone barn. It made us appreciate the countryside here in Lancaster. Chris and the kids were not too excited to go, hence the reason we have family pictures about once every 4 years. But everyone had a great time. As usual, Ryan tried to make everyone laugh. Luckily the photographer had a sense of humor. She posted a few of our pictures on her website and commented about how much fun she had working with us. She said she loved our 'free spirits'. I guess that's a good way to describe us. Ironically, not many of the pictures captured all the laughter. Of course, the one that did turn out was of me laughing, not the kids. It's ok though, it shows how much fun I was having.

Family Vacation in Atlanta

Summer vacation! We left for Atlanta the day after school ended. Finally, all the cousins were together for the first time in years. The only ones missing were Jordan (in California), Justin (working in Dubai), and Spencer (ER residency). We had so much fun. We went to Stone Mountain, Whitewater Park, World of Coke, and much more.

We had fun with Aline, Eric, and Alan. I was surprised how well the boys spoke English. I thought they were still speaking mostly Spanish .

We went to The American Girl Cafe for Ashley's 8th birthday. It's becoming a tradition since we always seem to be in Atlanta over her birthday. She picked out a new doll, Rebecca.

It was nice to spend time with Laura, Ethan, and Lily. I get to see them again in New Mexico soon for Lily's first birthday.

Sorry Spencer that we exposed your son to the world of American Girl Dolls. Ethan seemed to really enjoy it!

We had too much fun, the kids were exhausted.

We can't forget about Jordan, in California. We missed him, but look forward to next summer when he can join us on vacation. We're proud of you Jordan.
